Companions:
It is always an honor to be together with you. We thank again the initiatives of the PTB, which give us the opportunity to meet her in Brussels to discuss the important issues that matters all of us. Thank you comrades of PTB.
The last year we where here to debate the subject: "Validity and actuality of the Bolshevik Revolution of 1917 in Russia".
At that opportunity we came to the conclusion that until the XX Congress of the CPSU (Communist Party of Soviet Union) the first proletarian Revolution which began in 1917 has undergone a just and correct path. That Congress signified a benchmark: to advance towards the building of Socialism or moving backwards. Today, more then fifty passed over, there is no serious communist which do not perceive that the positions approved at that Congress went in the opposite way of the construction of Socialism.
The Revolutionary Movement 8 of October (MR8) is profoundly convinced that the fundamental is to have clear the there is no possibility of socialization of the means of production in other way rather then their estatization. Full Socialism implies, necessarily, in their estatization as a whole. And, in this full Socialism, there is no place for the market. The existence of the market will always represent the survival of pre-socialist or not entirely socialist forms in the interior of the socialist society. Because of that, the advance of the socialist society implies in the continued reduction of the sphere of action of the market and in the constant amplification of the sphere of action of the economic plan.
Comrades, today, again we meet to fraternally interchange ideas on the conduction of the struggle of our peoples, obviously, inspired by all those that fought before us.
We live in a time in which capitalism has matured, got old and now find itself in its phase of decay. This means the stirring up of the contradiction between the needs of the mass of billions of human beings and the concentration of the product of human work in the hands of a minority each time more insignificant. The capitalism of free competition, does not exist anymore, it is merely a chimera used in the ideological fight. The main characteristic of the monopolies of our days is the monopoly. And mainly the monopolies of the main imperialist country: the US. This is the principal enemy of the peoples. It is the principal benefited of the process of capital concentration. Because of that, comrades, our struggle must have - as its central goal - to isolate the North American imperialism and its monopolies all over the world. To build an international front against the North American imperialism. To unite the worker’s class of the various countries with this objective. To weaken the main enemy and, by this way, to feeble and isolate its allies that exist in all our countries. The North American monopolies want to submit everybody to their interests. This implies in ravish everybody and all the minimal norms of acquaintanceship among peoples and their respective countries. They try to ravish and destroy the countries’ cultures, sovereignty, ideas and national identities and, as we see nowadays, they invade the sovereign territories of other nations to plunder and assault their natural resources. As revolutionaries we must put ourselves at the forefront in denouncing those attitudes perpetrated by the American monopolies all over the world, unite our forces, build alliances with all those, that, even temporarily, may struggle by our side and, by this way, to stroke them deadly at the peak of the crisis that is now being delineated.
Because of that, comrades, it is fundamental for us, to zeal for the workers class unity and – in this sense – to zeal for the trade union unity of the workers.
We, from Brazil, are now collecting the fruits of a long struggle to unify the Brazilian trade union movement. It is true that the enemy also worked hard to divide us. We want to say to our comrades that we, from MR8, are very happy with the victory in this field over the enemy.
We haven’t got to the unification of all the Brazilian workers in a unique trade union central. Nevertheless, the divisionist theses were defeated. The biggest demonstration of this victory was the election and reelection, for the first time in our History of a dependent and colonized country, of a metallurgy worker, the companion Luiz Inacio da Silva for the Brazilian Presidency.
Comrades, we are sure, that we will march to unify all the Trade Union Centrals that recently has been legally recognized in our country. We believe in that because we conquered the victory of maintaining the unity at the base of the trade union movement, which means that we rescued the principle of a unique trade union for each workers’ branch, in the same territorial area. This is the vaccine against divisionism, so proclaimed by imperialism as something supposedly "democratic". This means that it want us profoundly divided, to continue ruling and that we must zeal for our unity to win it over.
Down with the monopolies!
Down with the North American imperialism!
Long live the trade union unity of the workers’ class!
Long live the international front against the North American imperialism!
Long live the sovereignty of the peoples and nations!
Long live socialism!
Thank you.
