SPEECH BY COMRADE PAK HYON BO,
AMBASSADOR OF THE DEMOCRATIC PEOPLE'S REPULIC OF KOREA
AS A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE WORKERS' PARTY OF KOREA
First of all, I would like to express my thanks to the Workers' Party of Belgium for inviting our party delegation to the 13th International Communist Seminar now taking place under the theme "The strategy and tactics of the struggle against global US imperialist war".
I would like to brief on the present tense situation around the Korean peninsular and on the activities of our party.
At present the situation on the Korean peninsular is at the dangerous stage due to the serious hostile policy of the United States.
The belligerent forces in the united States ahs rigged up the "New Operation Plan 5026" talking about "use of force" in order our country to "first to abandon nuclear" and at the same time they are deploying most sophisticated weaponry to South Korea massively and continuously staging large scale war exercises aimed at pre-emptive attack on us such as Reception, staging, onward movement and integration(RSOI) and Foal Eagle joint military exercises.
What draws serious attention is the massive deployment of aggressive forces including the deployment of a destroyer equipped with the Aegis combat system around the Korean peninsular by the United States.
The United States often talks about "dialogue" and "peaceful settlement" of the nuclear issue, but it accelerates the preparation of "2nd Korean War" behind the curtain and it has now exceeded the dangerous line.
We cannot but to be serious about it. The United States must not make miscalculation.
We have an outstanding Songun revolutionary leadership of the respected leader comrade KIM JONG IL and ever-victorious strong army who could defeat any aggressors at once.
Peacefully solving the nuclear issue between the DPR of Korea and United States through dialogue is consistent principled position of our party.
But there will be no compromise nor tolerance instead we will respond with ultra hard-line position to the assertion of the United States to " abandon the nuclear first" and to its moves to stifle our system and to disarm us.
At present our party members and working people are vigorously waging struggle to build a powerful socialist nation and for an independent and peaceful reunification with strong will that we will never sway as long as we have the respected comrade KIM JONG IL.
To our people, this year is the 30th anniversary of the declaration of the programme of the modelling the whole society with the Juche idea set firth by the respected comrade
KIM JONG IL and also a historical year marking the 40th anniversary of the respected comrade KIM JONG IL starting work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
Our party is carrying out a revolutionary offensive to conquer the higher targets of powerful nation in the three fronts of politic and ideology, anti-imperialism and military, economy and science in order to mark this meaningful year as the year of turning in the implementation of the Juche revolutionary cause.
By highly upholding the Songun policy of the respected comrade KIM JONG IL, our party and the people will surely build a powerful, prosperous and reunified nation on the motherland and make active efforts to maintain peace in the Korean peninsular, Asia and in the world with a resolute anti-imperialist struggle.
We firmly believe that your parties which opposes aggression and war and values peace and justice, would pay attention to the situation on the Korean peninsular driving towards the serious phase due to the hostile policy of the United States and its allies and to extend active support and solidarity to our party and people in their just cause and at the same time we wish greater success in your party's activities for anti-imperialism, peace and social progress.
