Resolution on the Democratic People's Republic of Korea

Recently, the efforts of the imperialists to isolate and to destroy the DPRK have become more obvious than ever.

The bellicose US forces are openly saying that "they have to overthrow socialist Korea, that bastion of communism, by military intervention". They are introducing massive sophisticated nuclear armaments, while the South Korean authorities increase their military expenditure, continuously undertaking joint military excercises with the Unites States.

Notwithstanding this imperialist aggression and the natural disasters they have been suffering over the last few years, the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and the people of Korea are unwaveringly holding aloft the red flag of revolution.

Defending socialism in Korea and sending political support and solidarity to the Korean people remains the duty of all progressive political parties and a necessity for the international communist movement.

We, the undersigned, strongly condemn the imperialist attempts to overthrow socialist Korea, and we reaffirm our determination to give militant support, solidarity and fraternal cooperation to the just cause of the WPK and the people of Korea in their defense of the socialist cause and in their struggle to bring about the peaceful reunification of their country.
